Moira Johnson
Moira Johnson is the project manager for the Student Flourishing Initiative. Her primary focus is to build partnerships and enhance collaborative efforts among current and prospective researchers involved in the project.
Moira holds an Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration & Leadership from Texas A&M University-Commerce. She has an M.S. in Health & Human Performance from Austin Peay State University and a B.A. in Latin American Studies from the University of Virginia. Her areas of expertise include worksite wellness in higher education; student development; event management and innovative co-curricular program design, administration, and research.
Prior to returning to the the University of Virginia, Moira was the founding director of the Employee Wellness Program at Texas A&M University-Commerce. She previously worked in student affairs directing student-focused fitness and wellness programs and engaging in collaborative development of living-learning communities.
